i spent most of this today just kinda lost in thought. thinking of this and that, and just wandering through a maze of memories from times current and times past. somedays it's nice just to be able to let your mind roam freely, without having to worry about the normal stresses of everyday working life. today was one of those days. it was roasting hot today (still is) and so i went and got a bowl of naeng myun (cold noodles) and then walked out to a park and sat outside reading in the sun for a bit. within 5 mins of reading in the sun i was already dripping with sweat... lookin like i just ran a mile. anyway, i chilled out for about an hour or so, reading and soaking up the sun... afterwards i made my way over to a coffee shop, sat in an air conditioned room, sippin on iced coffee, and read for another hour or so. very relaxing day. it's days like these where i truly appreciate the simplicities of life. so often i get so caught up in living life that it's hard to stop and take a step back.
so i've been wanting to take a trip outside of seoul for a lil while now, and i think i'm gonna start planning a trip to get out of the city... in SF you kinda get stir crazy sometimes and it feels great to get out of the city, if even for a day, and just experience newness. even if it's not necessarily a new city or a place you haven't been before, but new in the sense that it's something new and different from the typical weekend activities.
speaking of newness, things are progressing with myself and the lady friend. for not really having a gf in over 5 years, the newness of this is pretty exciting... i'm not really going to elaborate on the progress until later, but just know that things are progressing in a good way.
any news from you folks back home? dan sent me an article about levende lounge changing names... ahh the memories... how did dan fare with the pho challenge? what else is new?

I was at breakfast yesterday and these 2 guys were reciting lines from dumb and dumber. We could've totally schooled them. they were lame. Big gulps huh? welp, see you later.
damn homie, sounds like things are getting serious. all is well in nyc. i'm moving apts at the end of the month and just got back from rolling through ec, half moon bay, and vancouver, to see my auntie corinne who was in town from vienna (same as the one that was in paris), hit up a team offsite event, and my old roomate ernie's bachelor party. vancouver is a pretty poppin city. i know what you mean about having days where you just want to think freely... i've had many out here in nyc, but no time to write about ish. damn busy city. ha.
