the new diggs...

so it's been about 3 weeks since i've started working at the new branch... and it's definitely a lot more chill than the previous branch... it's a lot more laid back and relaxed than before... the people there i haven't really gotten to know that well, but most seem pretty chill... there's about 12 teachers and then the korean staff... most of the teachers at this branch are from the US... as opposed to the previous branch was mostly canadians... anyhow, so far the people are good and the class sizes are smaller, so it's a bit less of a headache than before. i dunno about grade inflation in korea, but i feel like a lot of the kids that i teach are in a level higher than their ability level... like maybe they should've spent another term in the previous level before getting into their current level... anyhow, a lot of the kids seem like they need a bit more babying than the previous branch, which isn't necessarily a bad thing... but they do seem less motivated as well.

other than that, here are some other recent happenings in the life of brian:

1. upgraded the scooter: got myself a 125cc classic looking road hog... it's definitely increased my sex appeal.
2. along with the new scooter, i got myself a new helmet... pics will come later... but yea. sex appeal is now skyrocketing.
3. went to a bar to go watch the world cup game: korea vs. greece... it is madness here... so much pride and people go absolutely nuts here over soccer... it's definitely fun to be part of the excitement...
4. my gf and i have officially been together for over 300 days (multiples of 100 are pretty significant here)... almost a year and counting...
5. the countdown until america has begun... 2.5 months until brian's homecoming... can't wait to see all the homies and get some good food...
